At Victoria Bakery we take our impact on the environment seriously and we have taken various measures recently to reduce that impact.
The vast majority of our packaging is paper and cardboard. Whilst we do use plastic where necessary, we try to keep this to the minimum, and certainly we use far less on our products than the average equivalent product from a supermarket. We are now using jute carrier bags and our plastic carrier bags will be made from biodegradable plastic in the very near future.
We have reduced the amount of waste sent to landfill by one third, by means of recycling.
We are committed to using local suppliers where possible to reduce our carbon footprint.
