Victoria Bakery wins Love London award from Smooth Radio
Long established Victoria Bakery of Barnet has won a prestigious award from Smooth Radio. The local bakery was nominated for the Love London Awards, sponsored by Smooth Radio, by customers in the Best Local Shop Award. The bakery was initially shortlisted into the top ten shops in London and then after great support from it’s customers into the top three.
On Friday 7th May the bakery’s owners James & Debbie Freeman were invited to a champagne reception at the Café de Paris in London where the results were announced. The award was presented to James & Debbie by Smooth Radio DJ Nigel Williams.
James Freeman said “We are immensely proud to have received this prestigious award. It is a great tribute to all our hard working employees from the early morning bakers & sandwich makers through to our shop staff, not forgetting cleaners, drivers and office staff.
We have always believed in making top quality freshly baked bread cakes and savouries and it is very satisfying to receive this accolade. In particular I would like to thank our loyal customers, many of whom have been coming to us for longer than I can remember, and who voted for us to win the award.”
